A MESSAGE FROM GIANCARLO PERINI, PUBLISHER.

Car designers around the world, please help us to raise this baby. Make it yours.

Yes, you can!

Through the past five years I have been running a blog dedicated to car design with an experimental approach. I was eager to establish a bridge with the design community and to gain experience on the web.

Now, time has come for a new project with broader goals, focuses and reach.

The goal is to establish a very lively «Café littéraire» where professional designers, design educators and students, car and design enthusiasts meet, show their ideas, discuss design matters and trends, contribute with their own reports and stories to the development of a modern design culture, with past experiences and inputs from different cultures.

Please subscribe to our " Newsletter" to keep up with the progress Automotive Design Club International.

And, please, invite all your friends to join us, here and now.

Work is in progress. Be part of it!

Volkswagen-T-ROC--Geneva-2014-02Meet the T-ROC, the latest Volkswagen SUV concept, which is making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. The T-ROC offers a glimpse at future Volkswagen SUVs: it is smaller than the Tiguan, but larger than the Taigun SUV concept, which is in the development phase, according to a company statement.

The two-door, four-seat T-ROC combines the agility of an all-wheel-drive SUV with the airiness of a convertible, thanks to its roof design.  The middle section of the roof – made from a carbon composite – can be removed in two halves, each of which can then be stored in the boot.

Italdesign-Giugiaro--Geneva-2014In Geneva, the most intriguing, and likely sexy, dream car from the Italian masters of design will probably be the one being completed these days at Italdesign-Giugiaro.
Few tweets (outside the net) suggest it is the work of Maestro Giorgetto and it is an essay of superlative efficiency for comfort and interior roominess in an extremely elegant, contemporary, design.
Last year the company presented the innovative Parcour concept of a SUV-Coupe designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro.
In anticipation of the Geneva unveiling Italdesign-Giugiaro is offering a visual suggestion of what it has up its sleeves. Not much to see though. However, the profile suggests it is an aristocratic limousine with the strong character of a dynamic sculpture. The first thing that comes to mind is challenger to the Maserati. The second option is that this is the answer to the Pininfarina BMW Gran Lasso Concept. The third hypothesis is in favour of a ...new, Bugatti sport limousine.
